Acura will be rolling out a new entry-level SUV, the RDX, as a 2007 model. It will be based on the Honda CR-V platform. Meanwhile, the larger SUV, the MDX, will get a complete makeover for the '07 version. Also, in an effort to increase sales, the flagship, the RL, is expected to lose some of its features to make it more affordable. And for those who need the fastest thing around, the NSX is expected to make a come back in 2007. It is rumored to get a V-10 engine.
Acura continues to do quite well in area of sales. 2005 was a record-breaking year. The automaker sold 200,000 vehicles for the first time in its history. Acura sold a record number of RLs, TLs and TSXs. The TSX was named to Car and Driver magazine's "10 Best Cars" list for the third straight year. |
